Mine Planning Ingenuity
At Snowden our Mining Planning group thrives on quickly solving complex problems. Because each project is unique, we often develop our own tools to get the best bottom-line outcome for our clients’ projects. We do this by leveraging our diverse range of skills, experience and perspectives as mining engineers, mathematicians and software developers.
Snowden uses its proprietary software and mining domain knowledge to rapidly run trade-off scenarios to assist you in making value adding strategic decisions.
Snowden can help get your project started with an early assessment of project economics, project scale and extent and recommendations to move your project forward efficiently.
Snowden can analyse the key project options and develop a cohesive mine plan to support the decision to move forward to a Feasibility Study.
Snowden can add the detail around your mine plan to provide additional confidence and mitigate key project risks to support the investment decision.
Operational Mine Planning
Snowden provides support for mining operations by planning for project expansion or assessing operational improvement/mine plan optimisation opportunities.
Snowden is able to generate, mentor, review or audit Ore/Mineral Reserves to comply with any of the major reporting codes.
While we use most commercially available software packages, we have also developed a number of custom in-house packages to help generate better mine plans faster. Below are a selection of these tools, and we continue to innovate constantly with new tools. Feel free to contact us if you have a unique mine plan optimisation problem.
We are focused on the economic outcomes for the mining study and how best to achieve those at the least cost. Our experience in completing these studies over many years has provided us with significant learnings that are passed on to our clients through improved outcomes or shorter timeframes. We are able to put together multi-disciplinary teams covering the whole mining value chain. This enables us to break down the silos that often inhibit the value of mining projects during exploration and planning. We test assumptions from a global, rather than local perspective.
